Perkins is obviously revealing his true character integrity because of his guilty conscience. He is to be applauded, and protected.

It's amazing how these guys come out and write these books and think they're going to cause a huge reforming storm, yet no one takes any notice. He destroyed his career for nothing.

I see what you're saying, but they said this in The X-Files about Mulder; he's become too public. If ANYTHING happens to him he will become a martyr like Danny Casolaro or Phil Schneider and his quest becomes a crusade for many. Him living is what could be pushing them back, that is if he isn't just putting this out for us to fall over.
